Product information
Beech firewood
Beech is highly popular thanks to its versatility. It is used in furniture making, veneer production and as a wood flooring material. Beech grain is usually uniform, so solid beech floorboards look harmonious across large areas.
Beech as fuel
When burned, beech develops a pleasant aroma — which is why it is also used for smoking foods. As fuel, beech is highly popular because it produces a beautiful flame pattern.
Beech burns evenly and develops good embers. Unlike spruce, beech is not resinous — so the typical crackling and spark formation are absent.
Calorific value
At around 2,100 kWh/srm, beech firewood has a high calorific value. It is frequently used as a reference value for the calorific values of other species.
