Birch multiplex base layer and finest oak wear layer — manufactured directly in our sawmill in Luppa, near Leipzig. Classes Prima and Striking, lengths up to 4000 mm, ideal for underfloor heating.
Quality classes
Both classes combine a birch multiplex base layer and a solid oak wear layer — the character of the wood grain decides which class suits your room.
Finely patterned, growth rings distributed randomly. Ingrown knurls up to 15 mm in diameter permissible. Generally sapwood-free, finished with oil. High-quality wear layer of hand-selected timber on birch multiplex — ideal in combination with underfloor heating.
Clearly visible patterns, ingrown knurls up to 60 mm permissible. Broadly offset pattern without fluent transitions — dark eyes and irregular lines are intentional. Sapwood up to 15 mm at the edges permissible. For rooms that call for character and warmth.

Manufactured entirely from a single species of wood. Can be re-sanded multiple times, built to last generations. Three classes: Natural, Striking, Rustic — the choice when underfloor heating is not required.
Available in the same wood as your 2-layer floor if you wish — clean wall-to-floor transitions in a single look. Our experts measure for you and calculate precisely.
About our 2-layer boards
What's special about floorboards made using the multilayer method is the high level of comfort offered by better cushioning. The top, wearing layer is made of finest oak. For the lower layer, we use multiplex birch planks.
The offset arrangement of the layers means that these solid-wood floorboards have fewer gaps than other floorboards. What's more, air pockets cannot form between the walking surface and the base.
The floorboards come with an overall thickness of 16 or 20 mm. Heat is conducted perfectly.
This makes multi-layer floorboards the perfect wooden flooring for use with underfloor heating.

We source our oak and other solid woods from the forests in our region. We also ensure that our wood is certified by the FSC® and the PEFC.
These stamps indicate that the forests in question have been planted sustainably, are managed in a manner that protects the climate and have been planted with diverse species. The wood is visibly healthy and felling does not do any damage to the forest.

Underfloor heating
Both old and renovated living spaces are better insulated by these modern floor coverings — this design is therefore a good choice when renovating an existing property.
The birch multiplex base layer reacts far less to thermal movement than solid wood. Heat is conducted optimally through an overall thickness of 16 or 20 mm — making multi-layer floorboards the ideal wooden floor for underfloor heating.

Visually, solid-wood floorboards and 2-layer boards achieve the same high quality. The difference lies in the construction: solid-wood floorboards are made entirely from a single species of wood and can be re-sanded multiple times — they last for generations.
2-layer boards combine a stable birch multiplex base layer with a high-quality wear layer. The offset arrangement of the layers produces fewer gaps than conventional floorboards — and air pockets cannot form between the walking surface and the base. If you are using underfloor heating, 2-layer boards are the better choice.
