In our manufactory in Luppa we mainly process domestic woods. Four species come up most often. They differ in colour, hardness and character.
Oak — the classic
Oak is the most common choice for wooden floors. Its grain is unmistakable. It is hard, durable and versatile.
Oak planks last for generations. They suit classical and modern rooms alike. The Natur, Markant and Rustic grades give you three distinct moods.
Ash — bright and friendly
Ash is brighter than oak. Its grain is clearly visible. It feels friendly and open. Ash is hard and elastic.
It suits rooms that should feel light. Good choice if you like the Scandinavian look.
Beech — even and calm
Beech has a calm, even grain. It is very hard and very dense. Its colour is a warm reddish hue.
Beech suits rooms in which the floor should step back. It also performs well in heavily-used spaces.
Pine — warm and soft
Pine is softer than the other three woods. Its colour is warm, often golden-yellow. It feels rustic and natural.
Pine suits country-plank looks and rooms where warmth matters. It will show wear faster than the hardwoods.
