About HOLZ-BARAN GmbH

Wood processing with passion and tradition

HOLZ-BARAN GmbH — wood processing in Leipzig

Our ability to respond to individual customer requests and our love of nature make an exclusive company such as ours of particular interest in this age of ready-made products. People are going back to the quality and individuality that we can offer you with our products. Our company sets great store by these very characteristics. That is why our customer base continues to grow, not only here in Germany, but also in other European countries.

Raw materials and workmanship from a single supplier

We can look back at decades of experience in working with the most natural material in the world.

We source our own wood and work it in our own sawmill. This means that we can hand-pick the right working material for your future wooden floor in accordance with strict quality criteria.

This philosophy makes us proud of our work and our results. You, in turn, can enjoy the highest-quality wooden floors, parquet floors, floorings, wooden stairs and skirting boards.

Woodworking in our sawmill is based on comprehensive specialist knowledge that has grown constantly over the decades.

In addition to wood sourcing and woodworking, we also sell firewood and building timber.

Company history

Our company history starts before the technological revolution had hit industry. Back then, it was our fascination for nature and how we could integrate it into our living spaces that drove our accomplishments.

Technological progress allowed us to blend craftsmanship with a modern machine pool. We can now look back at our comprehensive artisanal know-how, and we always enjoy the feeling we get when we use our wooden floorboards to create a new and unique atmosphere.

A company that has grown over time

If you are looking for a manufacturer of wooden floors, you will find a partner with plenty of experience in HOLZ-BARAN GmbH.

We work with raw materials such as:

  • Oak (Common oak & Red oak)
  • Beech
  • Pine
  • Cherry wood
  • Ash
  • Sycamore
  • Hornbeam

The planks of our philosophy

The saying "You made your bed, now sleep in it." can also be used in a positive sense in the context of wooden floors. This is because a floor covering made of a material that grew in nature not only creates a unique experience when you walk on it, it also has a positive effect on a room's atmosphere. That is why, when fitting out their living spaces, nature lovers should choose wooden floorboards from our high-quality company.

By laying a quality wooden floor, you create the basis for a good living environment.

What's more, the trend towards wooden floors will last for ever. The high quality of our products means that even future generations will be able to enjoy them.

    Our history

Three generations of woodworking in Saxony

Timber has been harvested from the nearby forests on our site in Luppa for two centuries. At the beginning of the 20th century, the historic building was erected — and with electric saws and machinery, industrial wood processing began.

Today the sawmill has a modern machine pool. Yet we remain proud of our tradition and the history of our buildings. Now in the third generation, we continually expand our range and move with the times.
